My interest in art began in my childhood when visitng museums and castles wiht my parents. I then I had the chance to study Art History at university where I discovered the work of artists like Claude Monet. But I would say I have a thing for Naïve artists such as Henri Rousseau (1844-1910) or Facteur Cheval (1836_1924), I’ve found inspiration in their work, their daring technique, and the way they saw the world. Their style was simple, genuine, but they mean a lot to me.
I am also a keen supporter of heritage preservation. There are so many beautiful mansions in France. I have a passion for history, when I paint those manors, and imagine the life of their first residents.
With my paintings, I would like to share some glimpses of my journeys in France’s countryside.
